The 10th Anniversary “Hair Awards 2026 by Estetica Hellas” Ceremony, along with the celebration of Estetica’s 80th anniversary, took place at the Athens Concert Hall.
The Hair Awards are one of the industry’s most prestigious institutions, aiming to highlight and reward the creativity, technical excellence, and artistic expression of Greek hairstylists.
The winners of the nine award categories were selected by an international jury composed of leading figures in the hairdressing industry, including Dimitri Vinokurov, Angelo Seminara, Christophe Gaillet, Patrick Cameron, and Eric Zemmour.
Numerous distinguished guests from Athens’ artistic, business, and journalistic circles, as well as representatives of leading haircare companies and industry professionals, attended the glamorous event.
The spectacular ceremony was hosted by Estetica Hellas Publishing Director Ms. Fryni Latou and hair specialist Markos Efthymiou.
Among the evening’s major winners, Cypriot hairstylist Giannis Karaolis stood out, receiving the “Cypriot Hairdresser of the Year” Award — a distinction that recognizes his professional journey, creativity, and significant contribution to the hairdressing industry.
Giannis Karaolis has owned and operated his own luxury hair salon in Paphos for more than five years, establishing himself as one of Cyprus’ most acclaimed hairstylists.
With particular expertise in bridal hairstyling, he has developed bridal education programs and masterclasses for industry professionals, while also collaborating with internationally renowned personalities and models, including models who have represented the fashion house Nina Ricci.
His recognition as “Cypriot Hairdresser of the Year” confirms his continuous growth, passion, and dedication to the art of hairstyling.
In the near future, he will represent Cyprus at the OMC Hairworld World Championship, one of the world’s most important hairdressing competitions, where hairstylists from more than 50 countries compete for the title of World Champion.
