Ioulia Kallimani, always aware and in the context of World Hug Day, presented a special charity event for the children and families of: “DYAMEA”, “KEEPEA Orizontes”, “KEAT” & “Oloi Emeis”, at “Tokyo Theater Athens” and with the support of businessman Stavros and Giannis Voutyrakos, always having the leading creator Michalis Touratzidis by her side. From early in the afternoon, the beneficiaries of the charitable associations and clubs, with their companions and families, as well as representatives of the artistic and journalistic world, rushed to the renewed and imposing entertainment center “Tokyo Theater Athens”, in order to congratulate the beloved artist for her such an important initiative, as well as to enjoy the live program, which was dedicated to them. The evening was hosted by journalist and radio producer Eleni Karpontini, while the event was also translated into sign language by the remarkable Yannis Sermetzidis.
A particularly moving moment was when the Presidents and representatives of the charitable associations and clubs presented honorary plaques to Ioulia Kallimani and publicly thanked her for the value that the event provides in terms of highlighting respect and inclusion of people with special needs in everyday life. Regarding their activities, the association “DYAMEA – “THERE ARE NO PEOPLE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS, ONLY PEOPLE”, aims to love and include Greek Paralympians and Para-Champions, “KEEPEA Orizontes – “Special Education Center for Children & Adults with Disabilities”, contributes to the qualitative improvement of the everyday life of People with Intellectual Disabilities and their families, providing education, balanced with their needs and desires, “KEAT – Center for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind”, supervised by the Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family, covers the needs and education of young and adult people with visual impairments at a national level, while “Oloi Emeis” – Day Care & Day Care Center based in Elefsina, is a a modern support space for people with disabilities, offering a comprehensive framework of care and creative development. The fully renovated “Tokyo Theater Athens” hosted the glamorous evening, creating all the infrastructure for comfortable access for people with disabilities, in all its spaces, sending a message of equality, respect and solidarity and highlighting the value of inclusion and equality.
