In an atmosphere of deep emotion and many surprises, the annual Make-A-Wish event took place. On the side of the Organization stood with their kind sponsorships, the company “Kallergis Machines” of Alexandros Kallergis, which is one of the first machinery import companies in the Peloponnese, with a strong international name accompanied by trust and reliability, but also the water – source of life “AVATON”, the only one that originates from an artesian spring of the Monastic State of Mount Athos, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and remains pure and natural, untouched by industrialization and human pollution.
The event was attended by dear friends and supporters – #WishMaker of the organization’s action and work, as well as its Ambassador Fay Skorda. Over 1,500 participants paid tribute to the fighting children, but also to those who were lost. Highlights of the evening were the fulfillment of the wish of Argirous who dreamed of standing on her feet and dancing, as well as Olga who played with her new piano in the Concert Hall in front of the audience. The surprise of the celebration was Konstantinos Argiros on stage, accompanied by Limberis, wish child and volunteer… pianist of Make-A-Wish Greece!
The Make-A-Wish organization (Make-A-Wish of Greece) continues to fill what children and parents refer to as a “void”, as the President of the organization, Ms. Yvette Kosmetatou, also mentioned: the void of childhood, of everyday life of communication… of the loneliness that a serious illness brings. In 2023, 316 wishes of children with serious illnesses were fulfilled.
