The favorite coffee chain “Coffee Berry Greece” successfully carried out the tree planting in Hymettus, in collaboration with the MKO “WE4ALL”, in dedication of the World Coffee Day. A huge crowd of people was gathered from the early Saturday morning, with the aim to contribute in the ecological movement for a better planet! Besides Ymittos Mayor and Deputy Mayor, there were also present vibrant personalities of the journal, sports and artistic world, so to embrace the effort collectively. The special breakfast on the Mount Hymmetus, made the guests to feel the environmental significance, with a great reminder of the current global climate crisis. The environmental protection is a vital priority that can be achieved with collective volunteering.
Climate change urgently needs a radical activity to be tackled. “Coffee Berry Greece” action reminds us that a small movement is possible to make a great impact! The goal is to create a larger green lung, so to give back life to the forests that had been burned down. This movement acts as the first evidence, proving that the popular coffee chain stands as an eco planet guardian for a more sustainable future! The overall sponsorship of “Coffee Berry Greece” for 2022 concerns the planting of 1,200 new trees on the site of Hymettus Paiania, showing its strong support for environmental, social and local work. Tree planting is one of the most effective environmental actions! One tree absorbs up to 22kg of carbon dioxide per year and releases 117kg of pure oxygen.
