“Bread Factory” organized, for another year, a unique Easter Charity Event, offering financial and psychological support to the “Vamvakarios Foundation – Arogi” of the Municipality of Acharnes (Supported Living Home for the Disabled). The Charity Ambassador of the evening was the always sensitive presenter, Zina Koutselini, who plays an active role in the voluntary provision of assistance. This important initiative was supported by a number of personalities from the artistic world as well as representatives of the journalistic world. The President of the “Arogi” charitable association, Mrs. May Riga, together with the President and Vice President of “KAMEA” of the Municipality of Acharnes, Mrs. Olga Pavlidou and Mrs. Vicky Elliott, thanked the owner Mr. Panagiotis Dimitropoulos and the entire staff of “Bread Factory” for their such an important initiative.
The “Vamvakario Foundation – Arogi” is the only public supported living facility in Attica and the first in all of Greece, as it provides accommodation to children, free of charge, since 2021 with the initiative and great struggle of the Mayor of Acharnes, Mr. Spyros Vrettos. The “Vamvakario Foundation – Arogi” is a modern and well-equipped unit with two floors of 346 square meters, a basketball court, a fully equipped kitchen and a gym, while the staff offers all the necessary care for their living and ensures their education, always in close communication and cooperation with their families. The young people who live there organize celebrations, learn gardening, cook, participate in the Municipality’s festivals with theatrical performances and parades.
“Bread Factory” are modern spaces that combine bakery, patisserie, gelateria, coffee corner, restaurant, salad bar and delicatessen store, open 24/7 and 365 days a year and have already become a point of reference both in the everyday life of consumers and in its improvement, participating in actions and activities that are led by people. As part of their corporate social responsibility, they established #FOODFORTHOUGHT, a series of charitable actions, showing their support for social issues, while they have already contributed to the support of dozens of institutions and organizations, such as the children’s hospital ”AGIA SOFIA”, the “M.A.m.A”, the “KAPI Maroussiou”, the Special Education Center for Children with Special Needs “K.E.E.P.E.A”, the Blind Association ”FAROS”, the “Christodoulion Orphanage”, the “Agapi Vasiliki Komnou”, the “Vamvakario Foundation – Aid”, etc. and will continue to actively contribute to actions for vulnerable social groups.
