The Day Care Center for People with Disabilities “ALL OF US TOGETHER”, under the auspices of the Municipality of Elefsina, successfully staged the theatrical performance “The War of Omegavita”, by Evgenios Trivizas, at the Old Olive Oil Mill of Elefsina, where it was presented by the beneficiaries together with the Center’s therapeutic staff. This important initiative was supported by a number of personalities and representatives from the political and journalistic world, while the great artist Yannis Zouganelis, who is always a supporter of important social actions, was also present.
The President of the Day Care Center for People with Disabilities “ALL OF US TOGETHER”, Ms. Afroditi Farmaki, accompanied by the Center’s staff, expressed her warm thanks to all those who honored the theatrical performance with their presence. The event aimed to raise public awareness regarding the acceptance of diversity and the strengthening of social cohesion, with a view to shaping a truly inclusive society.
The “ALL OF US” Center focuses on strengthening the social adaptation of beneficiaries, preventing isolation and strengthening their skills that are necessary for their social integration. At the same time, it promotes their ability to assert and negotiate, so that they can equally exercise their rights as active citizens. It is aimed at individuals over the age of 14 who face psycho-intellectual difficulties, accompanied by mental disorders and physical health problems. At the same time, it also provides support to their families, which it actively integrates into its psychosocial interventions. The Center’s actions focus on improving the mental and emotional state of the beneficiaries, cultivating personal and social skills, strengthening social relationships and creating conditions that favor their smooth integration into society.
