More than 5,000 athletes of all ages participated in the 6th Marathon & semi-marathon rally organized by the Municipality of Nafplion in the center of the historic town of Nafplion. It is a great sporting event with significant cultural, cultural and tourist interest that is now considered as an institution for the inhabitants of Argolida.
The starting signal of the Games was given by the Mayor of Nafplio, Dimitris Kostouros, in the presence of the entire Board of Directors, the Peloponnesian Regional Governor Petros Tatoulis, the Vice-President of Argolid Tassos Hevidopoulos, and many distinguished guests from the sports, artistic and journalistic space that traveled from all over Greece support this goal. Among them were Pigi Devetzi, Mirela Maniani and Kostas Kokkinakis, Dimitris Ougarezos, Giannis Aivazis with Maria Korinthiou, Eleni Hatzidou with the paralympic winner Eteoklis Pavlou and many others.
The Marathon of Nafplion was dedicated to the social work of the “ORAMA ELPIDAS” Association and was framed by many parallel cultural, environmental and volunteer events and ceremonies.
