This is an important initiative undertaken by Vana Barba, the President of the Associaton «Life & Love Force», which took place for the promotion and support of ELEPAP project. It was honored by the presence of the President of ELEPAP, DR. Eleni N. Skouteli, Pedriatic neurologist, the representaives of the therapeutic and educational staff of the Foundation, but also many prominent personalities from the aritistic, political and journal world. Distinguished guests, actors and Hellenic Society for the Protection and Rehabiliation of Disabled Persons, were all gathered at Golf Prive in Glyfada. It is the first non-profit charitable association in Greece, which for 85 years, has offered rehabiliaton services to more than 110,000 disabled children. Supporting them through out its 6 Centers in Athens, Thessaloniki Ioannnina, Chania, Volos and Agrinio.
The event was greeted from the platform by the President, the representatives of the political circle and the local government, preliminary events and gifts were delivered to our little friends. “ELEPAP” welcomes 1,000 disabled infants, children and adults to offer therapeutic programs, education and medical monitoring. Simultaneously, counselling and therapies are provided to their family members, as well . Remarkably, 50-60% of disabled children, proved success. The mission of ‘ELEPAP’ is to support any disabled children and their families, giving them access to rehabilitation programs, regardless of their economic, social and religious background. The aim is to make any steps forward for any disabled children and adult, which are noted as the ‘’Steps of Life’’.
