A spectacular ceremony, the Christmas Tree of the Municipality of Peristeri was lit in the Town Hall Square, in the presence of many distinguished guests as well as dozens of representatives from the journalistic and business world of Athens! A delightful evening full of surprises… The Municipality of Peristeri lit the Christmas tree of the city, with the children’s choir of the National Conservatory of Peristeri, while a festive concert followed. The ceremony was presented by Deputy Mayor of Culture – Friendship Centers and beloved artist Giorgos Tsalikis. Bright and smiling, as always, he effortessly managed to excite the audience on his own unique way throughout the evening, an element that makes him remain special and especially loved by all.
The Mayor Andreas Paxaturidis and the Deputy Mayor for Culture Giorgos Tsalikis promised thousands of citizens who flooded the central square of Peristeri a wonderful evening and so it happened. Before the start of the concert, there was a big Christmas parade and celebration with Santas, in which the cultural and sports clubs, the municipal philharmonic orchestra and the creative workshops of the Municipality of Peristeri participated.
