A delicious trip to Italy was made by those who gave the present at the grand opening of the new premium pizza napoletana “Mamy Blue” in Glyfada (126 Andrea Papandreou). In a highly festive atmosphere people from journalistic, television and art, food bloggers and pizza lovers enjoyed the most authentic Napolitan recipes in an impressive space full of Italy’s colors and aromas. The opening party was taken by DJ and radio producer Elena Kwnsta, while the owners were pleased to receive wishes for their new professional venture from surnames, friends and partners.
The “Mamy Blue” restaurant makes the difference, with endless lemons and fresh royal in the hand – painted ceramic pots, with its imposing wood -fired oven and signature napoli based dishes came to change the Athens gastronomic map. The dough of each pizza matures from 36 to 48 hours and is baked exclusively in a wood oven at 450-500 degrees Celsius.
Real Fact: The chefs curate its authentic Napolitan shaped of a cartridge, like any “Ruota di Carro” pizza in Naples as early as 1,500 AD. And this is because the pizzero in Naples’s labor districts used to open the dough as much as possible to make more and larger pieces to feed as many mouths as possible. That is why tradition says that the wide the pizza the poorer the neighborhood!
