As part of the activity to inform and raise awareness in relation to the needs of our four-legged friends, the established Christmas-Charity Bazaar was held by the Voluntary Union of Animal Lovers of Petroupoli – “Save the Tails”, in the presence of the ambassador of the association and beloved actress Joyce Eidedis and with the kind support of Dr. Vet Nikoleta Seretis, who embraced this effort in her own way, with the aim that no animal should suffer helplessly on the streets. Those who attended contributed to the work of the association by buying their Christmas gifts from the “Save the Tails” counter, helping at the same time to feed, treat and care for the homeless of the Petersburg shelter.
The Voluntary Union of Animal Lovers of Petroupoli – “Save the Tails”, with endless love for strays, has been hosting an average of 15 animals in the shelter for 5 years, mostly elderly, who need special care. With the aim of daily care for the care of strays, they provide feeding, clean drinking water and medicines through the shelter, while also taking care of feeding and neutering cats in neighborhoods, treating sick or injured animals and hosting them temporarily until they can found a permanent home.
