Restis Group of Companies and its owner Victor Restis, always sensitive towards sports and cultural issues, once more actively supported financially and ethically the 49th Balkanic Sailing Championhsip. During the closing ceremony the group’s representative Mrs. Dimitra Marantou received an honorable plaque by Saronikos’ mayor Mr. George Sofronis, who thanked in public Mr. Victor Restis for his unreserved support and sympathy towards Saronikos municipality’s concerns.
The ending ceremony of the 49th Balkanic Sailing Championship, held by Hellenic Sailing Federation and the municipality of Saronikos at the theatre of Palaia Fokia, attended several personalities from the politics, business and sports world, following the award of the 2 Olympic athletes Pavlos Kagialis and Panagiotis Mantis in Rio by the municipality of Saronikos. The Greek sailors gave an excellent performance winning 6 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze medals, while 6 Turkey’s athletes won 6 medals, 2 for Bulgaria and 1 for Montenegro.
