The renewed “EMBASSY Theater” opened its doors with a magical show for the whole family “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” and welcomed guests from the artistic, journalistic and business world, who rushed to attend and watch a production of high aesthetics with rich scenery, live orchestra, evocative lighting and impressive costumes.
The international musical “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”, performed and directed by Giorgos Valaris, based on the novel by “Roald Dahl”, one of the most popular works of children’s literature, with already two highly successful film adaptations, one in 1971 with starring Gene Wilder and one in 2005 with Johnny Depp, comes to life, for the first time in Greece, with a staff of talented collaborators, as well as an excellent 30-member group with Alexandros Bourdoumis in the role of “Willy Wonka”, the young Spyros Ntougia in role of “Charlie” and Petros Xekoukis in the role of “Grandpa Joe” in the 500-seat stately hall of the “EMBASSY Theater”, which opened its doors for the first time in 1962!
Undoubtedly the event of this winter is the adventures of the young “Charlie Bucket” in the chocolate factory of the eccentric chocolatier “Willy Wonka”, which promise unforgettable evenings at the historical theater “EMBASSY Theater” on Patriarchou Joachim Street in Kolonaki, completely reconstructed by the acclaimed interior designer Saki Kyriakidis. A production signed by the well-known businessman Giannis Tsakoumakos.
