The theater of the “High School of Fine Arts” opened its doors with the unique performance “Vitruvius” and welcomed a large number of well -known guests from the artistic, journalistic and business world, which hastened to give the “present” and attend the unique performer.

On stage, Stefanos Kakavoulis brings to life the fictional story “Vitruvius” enriched with many real and historical elements, drawing inspiration from the most famous design in art history, the work of Leonardo da Vinci, “The Man of Vitruvius”. Symbols, allegories, decrypted messages, codes, the metaphysical dimension, hide behind this particular design and frame the man posing to the famous painter, giving him flesh and bones. The show illuminates his psychosynthesis, anxieties and his life during his meetings at the atelier of the great creator Leonardo da Vinci. In the form of a monologue, the man – Vitruvius captures the audience throughout the show.

“Vitruvius” is the 13th work, which sees the lights of the stage, the talented writer and actor Stefanos Kakavoulis. The inspiration to play “Vitruvius” with this monologue – confession to an invisible creator came, as he himself says, from his love for Leonardo da Vinci, who with codes and symbols creates his masterpieces, where the meaning of words are dual and tool. “The Vitruvius Man” is the famous design with accompanying notes by Leonardo Da Vinci, made around 1490 in one of his diaries. It depicts a figure in two overlapping positions and at the same time registered in a circle and one square. Leonardo da Vinci, through this plan, explores the human body, anatomy and geometry of “perfect” proportions. The monologue of actor Stefanos Kakavoulis, who interprets and signs the original theatrical text, invites the viewer to stand naked, as is the hero, and to accept the light. The public comes into contact with ideas and messages that elevate the spirit.
