Overwhelmed by great emotion and joy, President of ELPIDA Marianna V. Vardinogiannis , accepted the proposal and welcomed singers from the “Athens Center”.
On the initiative of businessman John Tsakoumakos, a great part of the revenue from the New Year’s Eve party, were given as unique gifts and toys for all children of the Oncology Unit who are hospitalized or visit regularly.
Stelios Rokkos, Kostas Martakis and Thomais Apergi were given a tour of the Unit’s premises and met a lot of the children who accepted their gifts with joy. Then, the President of ELPIDA handed the three singers and Haris Sianidis – who had the original idea – honorary plaques and anniversarial books for the twenty years of ELPIDA that were celebrated this year.
Everyone left with a smile on their face and moved by the faith of the children in their difficult struggle, as well as from all the staff and Board of Pediatric Oncology Unit ” Marianna B . Vardinogianni- ELPIDA “, who are showing to the world every day their unique love and hospitality.
